  • What conditions do you treat?
We can support you in the management of conditions that affect the way that you move or your ability to maintain an independent life. Further details about some of the conditions we can support you with can be found on the Services page.
  • How do I make a booking?
Please contact me via email or telephone. A free screening call will be completed at a mutually convenient time to discuss your situation and requirements. During this details of your medical history may be taken. We will discuss your expectations of physiotherapy and any goals or aspirations you have. An appointment will then be made to complete your assessment in your home.
  • What are your costs?
The initial assessment is £95 and will last 60 mins. Treatment sessions are £95 for 60 mins or £75 for 45 mins. Length of treatment session will be discussed following your initial assessment. Block sessions are available and can be arranged on discussion with the physiotherapist. Travel fees may be applied depending on your location and distance from Bassaleg. This will be agreed with the physiotherapist prior to your assessment. Additional fees may be required for any additional administration that is required as part of your treatment such as report writing, contacting and liaising with other healthcare professionals with your consent or researching equipment. This will be discussed and agreed with you prior to completion.
  • How many sessions will I need?
Following your assessment your physiotherapist will explain their findings and appropriate treatment options based on your individual needs. The number of sessions and length of sessions will discussed with you and will be guided by your treatment plan and goals. You can book on a session by session bases or if appropriate you can decide to book a block of sessions.
  • What payments do you accept?
Payment is to be made by bank transfer and is required at the time of booking to confirm your appointment. If payment is not received the physiotherapist reserves the right to cancel the appointment and any subsequent appointments.
  • What happens if I need to cancel?
Your appointment can be rebooked at no charge, providing there is sufficient notice. Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will require payment in full. We understand that on rare occasions it may not be possible to provide notice within the required timeframe, in this circumstance it can be discussed with you, and it remains at the discretion of the physiotherapist. If there is an occasion when the physiotherapist must cancel an appointment it will be rescheduled, or a refund of the fee paid for that appointment will be offered.
  • What will happen during my first appointment?
A comprehensive assessment will be completed within the comfort and privacy of your own home. We will identify and discuss your individual needs, what is important to you and the goals you would like to achieve. A personalised treatment plan will be devised to meet your needs and to support you in working to achieving your goals.
  • What do I need to wear?
During your assessment you will be asked to demonstrate your movement and mobility. You may be asked to remove outer clothing to allow observation of your movement or posture. This will be fully explained to you and your consent sought. If you are uncomfortable with this please discuss with the physiotherapist and they will advise on how the assessment can be adapted or alternative clothing that can be worn. Please ensure you are wearing something that you feel comfortable in and your movement is not restricted.
  • Can a carer, relative or friend be there during my appointment?
You are able to have a carer, relative or friend to support you with your appointment. We are happy to work with them with your permission so they can help you on your rehabilitation journey. Please inform the physiotherapist if there is someone you would like to be present during your appointment.
